HOW THE GOVERNING BODY WORKS
Governors meet as a Full Governing Body three times during an academic year; Autumn Term, Spring Term and the Summer Term. Governors also meet in smaller sub-committees; these are:
- Teaching and Learning, ( Curriculum )
- Resources – Finance, Premises, Health and Safety, Pay Review and Extended Services.
As well as meeting together regularly as a Governing Body, Governors like to come and visit the school and be involved in school life.
Governors particularly enjoy attending events such as School Mass, Parents' Consultation Evenings, Carol Concerts and Nativity Productions where they can celebrate the achievements of the children as well as sharing in significant moments in the life of the school.
Governors also monitor the new initiatives which the Head Teacher and Staff are developing and see the impact they have on children's learning.
